Rhita Benjelloun was born in Bordeaux France to Moroccan parents, a diplomat and a doctor. The family moved back to Morocco when Rhita was six years old, and she spent her childhood in Rabat, soaking in Moroccan culture and Berber heritage.
Rhita who studied to be an architect in Paris and practiced architecture for several years, developed a passion for jewelry making during her studies. Inspired by her training and her Moroccan heritage, she began developing her own unique jewelry designs, incorporating sleek architectural elements and geometric shapes of the traditional Berber tattoos.
In 2018 after her base of customers expanded significantly, she decided to practice jewelry full time. "My customers buy jewelry to treat themselves or their loved ones. They come and leave with a smile, and that makes me happy."
