Maria Fernanda is an interior designer from Mexicali, Baja California, who strongly believes that homes are an extension of our identity, places that evoke our personalities by showing what we love.
A bohemian at heart, her own style is in constant evolution, influenced by art, design, and natural elements. This led her to create her brand and shop Casa Bohe (short for bohemian) in Guadalajara, Jalisco, to showcase a wealth of artisanal crafts from around Mexico and beyond.
She specializes in the creation of gorgeous textiles products, which she designs and manufactures with the help of makers communities in Santa Maria del Tule and Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca. Here, entire families of artisans work with 100% organic cotton strings which they hand dye with natural pigments and spin into skeins, before weaving them using the pedal loom technique, to create cushions, towels, bed runners, and blankets that will enrich any space with their decidedly Mexican touch.
Like its creator, Casa Bohe values the uniqueness and authenticity of the artisans’ manual work and pairs that with effortlessly beautiful designs that awaken our senses and emotions with their colors, textures and smells.
