Interior designer Xóchitl started her brand Pepa Knots to give voice to her love for all things creative and design, crafting unique pieces of wall decoration mixing materials like fibers, ceramics, wood, and metals.
Strongly influenced by boho decor and aiming to communicate a sense of coziness and comfort, her pieces integrate macramé knotting techniques with various other materials and are all a direct representation of Xóchitl's mind, soul, and whole identity.
Born in Spain to Mexican parents, Xóchitl studied interior design and then worked in Research & Development in the creative industries in several countries, before the pull of her Mexican roots became strong enough for her to move back there over ten years ago.
Now based in Mexico City, she started Pepa Knots just over a year ago and continues to experiment with different techniques and materials to refine her creative voice and identity. Previously only available locally through concept stores and fairs, Pepa Knots has opened her doors to the whole world thanks to her collaboration with The Nopo.
