Soufiane Aissouni

Morocco

Soufiane Aissouni, is a young and gifted Moroccan designer who represents the young generation of artisans in Morocco that are redefining the artisanal scene. With a deep respect for his routes and Moroccan traditional craftsmanship, he boldly ventures into new artistic terrain, developing his own distinct language that marries the old with the new. His style is sophisticated but approachable: minimalist and intelligent, earthy and warm.

 

Soufiane graduated from the international School College Lasalle of Marrakech and started his professional career as an interior designer and a scenographer.

 

Soufiane collaborates with a community of women artisans who live in the villages on the outskirts of Marrakech. Through his line of lamps, he aims to develop and promote Moroccan craftsmanship which he views as an integral part of his culture that must preserved.
