Samia, the mastermind behind Yelli Jewels, finds her inspiration from the local Moroccan Amazigh culture, and also from her travels all over the world.
Born in Morocco, Samia felt eager to continue her journey in finding inspiration in the "newness" of the world. From India to Vietnam, her experiences and the people who she meets continue to weave their ways into her jewelry, and she hopes to preserve Amazigh culture this way.
One of her most prominent experiences was with some local women in Vietnam, who after having bonded with, gave her a beautiful pair of earrings, ones they all wore, and told Samia she was just like them, one of many daughters. The name Yelli is the Amazigh word for daughter, and in Amazigh culture jewelry is passed on from mother to daughter. This is where her journey began.
