Originally from Colombia, Paloma Santacruz moved to Cancún, Mexico for what was supposed to be a temporary stay, when she met Ricardo Duran at a Valentine’s party that changed both of their lives forever. Long story short, they became partners in love and in business when they decided to start their own macramé brand.

Today, the strength of Mx Atelier’s work is in the obsessive attention to detail and the mastery of Paloma’s designs. With Ricardo’s background in architecture and business, the duo have grown their business quickly, creating jaw-dropping custom pieces in collaboration with well-known brands.
