The Mini Clasico Molcajete Pestle and Mortar Set is a modern reinterpretation of the millenary shape of the traditional Mexican molcajete, shrunk to its mini version to blend into new contexts within your tableware.

This set is perfect to grind sea salt, black peppercorns, chilli or any other condiment. It is handcarved from a single piece of volcanic stone by the master craftsmen of the Rodríguez family in Jalisco, Mexico.

Volcanic Stone.

2.48" x 1.69" (6.3cm x 4.3cm)
0.46lb. (0.21kg)

  • Due to its natural finish, the stone might acquire a darker color when exposed to oils or certain foods.
  • The first time you use the product, add some grain salt and smash it with the pestle to seal the largest pores in the stone.
  • Fair Trade.
  • Some variations in shading, shape and size are to be expected because of the handmade nature of the piece.
