Salento Natural Lampshade
Named after an Andean town west of Bogotá, Salento, the bell-shaped Salento Natural Lampshade is a feat of slow-production design that is uncompromising in its attitude to perfection. Handwoven by local artisans, it is made from bejuco di Tripillo, Tripillo vine, a material sustainably collected in the tropical forests of the Colombian coffee region and traditionally used for hundreds of years to make baskets for coffee harvesting.
The material is here transformed into a beautiful lampshade, which you and your home can enjoy, as a testament to Colombia’s rich cultural landscape and the Silvestre Artesanos' unwavering dedication to preserving traditional basket weaving techniques.
