This stunning Warao Basket is handwoven with the hexagonal weaving technique by master artisans of the Warao community of the Colombian Amazon. Place it inside in a corner of your living room to house your plants for an indoor jungle look or outside on your patio for your cacti or to add a warmer hue to your garden. This basket is so malleable that it can be flattened for a totally new look. It is resistant and has a sturdy texture that can be exposed to water and sun without being damaged.

Available in three different sizes, the Warao Basket is made of natural Trite fiber which is indigenous to the banks of the Orinoco River in the Amazon and is sourced with an eco-friendly process that preserves and respects the environment.

  • Waraos Amazónicos

In 2017, Luis David Colmenarez decided to research his ancestry and heritage with a trip to discover the environment and traditions of the indigenous people of the Orinoco region, in the Venezuelan and Colombian Amazon.  His brand, Waraos Amazónicos was born with the goal to make the traditions of the natives of the Amazon known to the world, through crafts made with an eco-friendly process that conserves nature and protects the environment.
